6-month contract opportunity - 100% remote

We client is developing a large software library that is being used across the nation, and they are seeking a test automation software developer to become an integral part of our team. You will develop and execute software test plans to identify software bugs. You will automate test cases in our current test bed using Selenium to identify bugs that can end users, as well as performing manual testing on our product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the design and development of test automation
• Devise and implement test strategies that assess all aspects of the software
• Write new test automation code
• Perform manual testing of the product as needed
• Investigate and recreate reported defects
• Track and document specific, detailed product defects and resolutions
• Work with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve coding issues

QUALIFICATIONS

• Intermediate or better experience with JavaScript
• Intermediate or better experience with Selenium-WebDriver (the JavaScript version, rather than some other language)
• Good understanding of QA methodology, automation expertise and ability to code
• Previous experience in software development and/or quality assurance
• Experience writing clear, concise documentation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in a deadline-driven environment
• Experience with hands-on Test Strategy, Test Automation, Test Design, Test Execution analysis & Reporting
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Experience with Agile methodology
