We are a startup that is growing by leaps and bounds, we have already merged with two companies and disrupting the metaverse! We are super strong with our mobile apps and now as we pivot to a SaaS company we are building out our web presence! You will lead this initiative by being the first person on our team to start building our new products for "Social Media as a Service", helping companies build their metaverse presence with millions of users! This is groundbreaking!!!

We are looking for a strong Lead JavaScript Developer who can design, architect and help shape our future on the web! You must be an expert front-end developer who can be hands-on getting us ready for the initial six months and then begin to build a team, therefore mentoring/leadership skills are key too.

This position is REMOTE working East Coast hours!

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services
• Collaborate with project manager, stakeholders and the team to plan, design, develop, test, deliver and monitor both public facing and internal applications and services
• Provide leadership to team members through coaching and mentorship
• Implement and enforce processes to aid delivery of consistent high quality output from the team

What You Need for this Position

• Team leadership skills to help drive our website frontend on good fundamentals and clean code
• Expert development experience in JavaScript
• Expert experience with web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Strong experience with Node, React, jQuery, and other common libraries
• Good understanding of agile development and working knowledge of JIRA
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders, such as Require.js and AMD
• Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt and Gulp.js
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tool Git and GitHub
• Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
