Baer is looking for Junior Ruby on Rails - JavaScript Developer for a 6 month Federal Remote Project. Title:Junior Ruby on Rails - JavaScript Developer Location:Remote (Must be based in US) Duration: 6months Rate: All-Inclusive Alignment: W2 or C2C Description: * Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. * Work with product owners and colleagues to interpret feature requests and develop software in iterative design, build, test cycles using an Agile development process for a responsive web application * Drawing on components from the project’s open-source framework, use JavaScript, React.JS, RESTful web services, and Ruby on Rails to design, build and test software components for citizens and employees * Develop front-end user interface components using JavaScript, HTML and CSS and back-end APIs to support the front-end application * Regularly check code into our continuous integration pipeline based on Jenkins to incrementally build our overall system and get immediate feedback on build performance * Develop and expand unit and integration tests which will be automatically run by the build pipeline for developer feedback using minitest and other tools like Cucumber, and Cypress Requirements: * 3+ years application development experience * 1+ year’s experience with Ruby on Rails * 1+ year’s experience of JavaScript (e.g. React.js) * 1+ years’ experience with HTML * Experience in using and managing change management tools, Git, Subversion, TortoiseSVN, and build server software (Jenkins/Hudson/Bamboo) * Postgresql and database experience along with API usage and development * Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing Agile environment * Associates degree or 5 years’ of releveant experience * U.S. citizenship and clearable for Federal background investigation and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance Public trust security clearance isthe lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a Standard Form 85 (SF85) form.
