Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a JavaScript/TypeScript Developer for a REMOTE contract opening with one of our largest clients located in Portland, OR.

JavaScript/TypeScript Developer

Contract length: 12 months with potential for extension/conversion.

Location: Portland, OR OR 100% Remote (Must work west coast hours).

Job Role/Description:

  • The team is working on a developer portal that enables 3rd party clients to consume API and build applications.
  • It is working on creating a platform of core services like authentication and authorization for Clinical Applications to expose their API.
  • You will have an opportunity to work on technologies like AWS Services, OAuth2, & ReactJS.
  • As a full-stack engineer, you will work side-by-side with a small team to deliver an on-schedule, high-quality product.
  • Design and hands-on development of robust solutions to hard problems considering scale, security, reliability, and cost.
  • Supports other product delivery partners in the successful build, test, and release of solutions.
  • Works with distributed requirements and technical stakeholders to complete shared design and development.
  • Supports the full software lifecycle of design, development, testing, and support for technical delivery.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies
  • Work with PO and the team to understand the business value and break down the feature as stories
  • Reviews user story/requirements to identify ambiguities
  • Have the opportunity to use your technical abilities to significantly improve product quality and time to market
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively for your audience.
  • Collaborate across teams and departments to help to create best practices
  • Identify defects and write reproducible bug reports following team standards for defects
  • Perform defect analysis and suggest improvements
  • Identify risks and help mitigate
  • Ability to design with ambiguous requirements
  • Guide and mentor team members on all aspects of software engineering
  • Ability to drive innovation in the organization
  • Ability to make presentations on software technologies, frameworks, and patterns to the organization

Qualifications:

  • Excellent Communication
  • Has delivered solutions through production using Typescript / Javascript
  • Has expertise in working on AWS services like S3, Lambda, Terraform
  • Strong experience in developing and integrating RESTful web-services
  • Experience with build and deployment tools, e.g., Git, Jenkins, Tekton, etc
  • Proficient in data modeling and data management using Relational database systems
  • Worked using tools like JIRA, Rally, TestRail, etc
  • Automation driven Mindset to improve maintainability and testability
  • Document design and solution to provide clarity.
