JavaScript Developer - Intermediate (Only W2)

BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated JavaScript Developer - Intermediate opportunity in Columbus, OH.

Position Title: JavaScript Developer - Intermediate
Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid work Model)
Duration: 6 Months Contract to Fulltime
Type: W2 (No C2C/1099/Sponsorship available)

Job Description:
The candidate role will be responsible for creating, deploying, managing, promoting and supporting Tableau Extensions within the firm. The FTE should have high proficiency in Python/JavaScript as well as SDLC best practices in order to support extensions from end-to-end in the lifecycle. The FTE will work with teams that have developed bespoke extensions internally to get them deployed to our internal private cloud, make them available to relevant users and provide support for updates, issues, etc. Additionally, the FTE will be tasked with developing new extensions based on customer/business needs and/or procuring existing extensions into the firm from external sources, where appropriate. The FTE should be self-motivated and comfortable working with and supporting multiple different extensions simultaneously

Requirements/Core Competencies:

• JavaScript/React/Vue JS or similar JS framework experience

• Python (Django/Celery preferred)

• Internal/External Cloud experience preferred (Gaia/Cloud Foundry, AWS, etc.)

• Experience with code repositories/SDLC pipelines
o Git/Bitbucket, Jules/Jenkins, etc.

• Previous experience with Tableau, Tableau Server/Cloud and building extensions is a huge plus

• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills are required

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to manage multiple, disparate projects simultaneously
