As a DevOps Engineer, you will evolve the team's build, test, and release process. Your work will help to improve the agility and stability of a major open source project through containerization and automation, empowering a community of thousands of designers and developers. As part of this effort, you will contribute directly to the open-source UI systems framework used in next-generation interfaces.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement containerization of the build and test process
  • Maintain compliance for security, privacy, and accessibility
  • Maintain the analytics systems and assist in deriving key insights into open source project and team health
  • Design, configure, and advance the project's cross-browser and cross-device testing
  • Track and evaluate emerging technologies to identify use cases and opportunities to improve dev ops
  • Partner with engineering leads to identify opportunities to improve the team's agility and work quality
An ideal candidate has:
  • Skills in software engineering
  • Experience with CI, containerization, and test automation
  • Familiarity with the latest JavaScript build and test tools
  • Experience contributing and working with open source projects
  • Attention to detail with a high bar for quality
  • Creativity and imagination
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent job experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with modern JavaScript build systems, CI, testing, and other web front-end tools
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating your expertise (including Github or other reviewable examples).
  • Proven experience with modern JavaScript libraries / frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, and Vue)
  • Knowledge of cross-browser testing
  • A history of creating, presenting, and delivering exceptional solutions that exceed business and user expectations
  • Experience with TypeScript a plus
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps a plus
